We want to give you some reminders regarding our move from Anderson to Tremont and Gretchen Higgins:
Details on the Moving Process
- As planned and shared with you previously, we began the moving and cleaning process this morning. We have started at Tremont by emptying rooms that have been used for purposes other than classrooms. These rooms will now become classrooms for Anderson students.
- Our next step is the same process at Gretchen Higgins.
- The final part of our process is moving the furniture and materials from Anderson to the two other schools.
- We will be completing the moving process on Sunday, with teachers and other staff able to be on their new campus Monday and Tuesday to set up classrooms and get organized.
Transportation
- We have excellent news on the topic of transportation!
- At last night’s Meeting, the Governing Board took action to establish transportation for Anderson students to both Tremont and Gretchen Higgins.
- Our current bus provider, Michael’s Transportation, has been able to identify both two buses and drivers to serve our students.
- As this opportunity was communicated to us just yesterday, it will be several days before we are fully organized to begin providing busing services.
- Look for information on how to access this busing option in the early part of next week.
Below are reminders of information that has been shared previously:
Early Dropoff
- Tremont will be opening its Multi-Purpose Rooms for students at 7:45.
- Due to its earlier start time, Gretchen Higgins will be opening its Multipurpose Room at 7:35. This is ten minutes earlier than we had previously announced.
- We will have staff to provide supervision until students are allowed to go outside and line up for class.
Meals
- Breakfast will be served to all students at no cost beginning when the Multi-Purpose Rooms open every day. They may still get their meal during morning recess during “Second Chance Breakfast.”
- There are no changes to lunchtime meals or processes. All students may eat at no cost.
Welcome and Orientation
- Both Tremont and Gretchen Higgins will be holding an event on Tuesday, February 20th, to welcome students and families to their new schools. These meetings are the beginning of the efforts that are planned to include the Anderson students at Tremont and Gretchen Higgins.
- Transitional Kindergarten through 1st Grade: 5:30 PM in the Tremont Multi-Purpose Room.
- Grades 2nd through 5th: 6:30 PM in the Gretchen Higgins Multi-Purpose Room.
- Students are highly recommended to attend, as they will be able to see the location of their new classroom.

Queremos brindarle algunos recordatorios sobre nuestro traslado de Anderson a Tremont y Gretchen Higgins:
Detalles Sobre el Proceso de Mudanza
- Como lo planeamos y compartimos con ustedes anteriormente, esta mañana comenzamos el proceso de mudanza y limpieza. Hemos comenzado en Tremont limpiando los salones que se han utilizado para otros fines además de las aulas. Estos salones ahora se convertirán en aulas para los estudiantes de Anderson.
- Nuestro siguiente paso es el mismo proceso en Gretchen Higgins.
- La parte final de nuestro proceso es trasladar los muebles y materiales de Anderson a las otras dos escuelas.
- Completaremos el proceso de mudanza el domingo, y los maestros y demás personal podrán estar en su nuevo campus el lunes y martes para instalar las aulas y organizarse.
Transporte
- ¡Tenemos excelentes noticias sobre el tema del transporte!
- En la reunión de anoche, la Mesa Directiva tomó medidas para establecer transporte para los estudiantes de Anderson tanto a Tremont como a Gretchen Higgins.
- Nuestro actual proveedor de autobuses, Michael’s Transportation, ha podido identificar dos autobuses y conductores para atender a nuestros estudiantes.
- Como se nos comunicó esta oportunidad ayer, pasarán varios días antes de que estemos completamente organizados para comenzar a brindar servicios de autobús.
- Busque información sobre cómo acceder a esta opción de autobús a principios de la próxima semana.
A continuación se muestran recordatorios de información que se ha compartido anteriormente:
Entrega Temprana
- Tremont abrirá su salón de usos múltiples para estudiantes a las 7:45.
- Debido a su hora de inicio más temprana, Gretchen Higgins abrirá su salón de usos múltiples a las 7:35. Esto es diez minutos antes de lo que habíamos anunciado previamente.
- Tendremos personal para supervisar hasta que a los estudiantes se les permita salir y hacer fila para clase.
Comidas
- El desayuno se servirá a todos los estudiantes sin costo alguno a partir de la apertura de los salones de usos múltiples todos los días. Es posible que aún reciban su comida durante el recreo de la mañana durante el “Desayuno de Segunda Oportunidad”.
- No hay cambios en las comidas ni en los procesos del almuerzo. Todos los estudiantes pueden comer sin costo alguno.
Bienvenida y Orientación
- Tanto Tremont como Gretchen Higgins llevarán a cabo un evento el martes 20 de febrero para dar la bienvenida a los estudiantes y familias a sus nuevas escuelas. Estas reuniones son el comienzo de los esfuerzos planeados para incluir a los estudiantes de Anderson en Tremont y Gretchen Higgins.

- Grados 2.º a 5.º: 6:30 p. m. en el salón de usos múltiples Gretchen Higgins.
