Testing Opportunities
We continue to offer testing for any student or staff member free of charge every Monday and Thursday from 2:00 to 3:30 at Dixon High. We will not be testing next week as the District is closed. COVID News
We are still waiting on information from the State on the vaccine mandate the Governor previously announced. We will share it as soon as we have it.
We are also waiting on new guidance from the California Department of Public Health on COVID protocols. This was supposed to be issued on November 1, was pushed back to the 15th, and is now scheduled for November 30th. We do not expect any significant changes on the recommendations and requirements in previous guidance documents. Most significantly, the mask mandate is very likely to continue. While just about everyone is tired of wearing masks, our students and staff are doing a good job overall of following the requirement. Please hang in there on this one. We do believe that our low case rates are due, in part, to the wearing of the masks.
Many of us will be part of gathering with family and friends over the Thanksgiving week. We ask for families and students to be vigilant as they return to school on November 29th as the risk of exposure is much higher as we participate in these social events. Students who are ill should remain at home, and those with COVID symptoms should get tested. Our testing will not be available over the break, but several options in the area can be found online. Families should report any confirmed cases to their school sites immediately.

Noticias sobre COVID-19
Todavía estamos a la espera de información del Estado sobre el mandato de vacuna que anunció previamente el Gobernador. Lo compartiremos tan pronto como lo tengamos.
También estamos esperando una nueva guía del Departamento de Salud Pública de California sobre los protocolos COVID. Se suponía que se emitiría el 1 de noviembre, se retrasó hasta el 15 y ahora está programado para el 30 de noviembre. No esperamos ningún cambio significativo en las recomendaciones y requisitos de los documentos de orientación anteriores. Lo más significativo es que es muy probable que continúe el mandato de la máscara. Si bien casi todos están cansados de usar máscaras, nuestros estudiantes y personal están haciendo un buen trabajo en general al cumplir con el requisito. Por favor tenga paciencia con esto. Creemos que nuestros casos bajos se deben, en parte, al uso de máscaras.
Muchos de nosotros participaremos en las reuniones con familiares y amigos durante la semana de Acción de Gracias. Pedimos a las familias y estudiantes que estén atentos cuando regresen a la escuela el 29 de noviembre, ya que el riesgo de exposición es mucho mayor a medida que participamos en estos eventos sociales. Los estudiantes que estén enfermos deben permanecer en casa y aquellos con síntomas de COVID deben hacerse la prueba. Nuestras pruebas no estarán disponibles durante las vacaciones, pero se pueden encontrar varias opciones en el área. Las familias deben informar cualquier caso confirmado a sus escuelas de inmediato.
