Testing Opportunities
Testing remains available every Monday and Thursday at Dixon High School between the hours of 2:00 and 3:30. You must register through the link available here to be able to test: https://www.dixonusd.org/covid-19
Masks
Masks were in the news this week as the statewide indoor mask mandate was ended by the Governor. There have not been any changes to the requirement for everyone to wear masks at school. It was announced that the State will address masks in schools on February 28th, at which time it is expected that some change in policy will be announced. Until then, we will follow and enforce the requirement that all students and staff will wear masks while in any indoor space.
Effective Tuesday, February 22nd, we will no longer require that masks be worn outside while on campuses. This was a local decision – unlike masks in classrooms – and given all the current information related to COVID, we are ready to eliminate this practice. Each school site will work with students to ensure that masks continue to be worn while indoors, and allow for students to choose whether they want to wear them outdoors.

Máscaras
Las mascarillas estuvieron en las noticias esta semana cuando el Gobernador puso fin al mandato estatal de mascarillas en interiores. No ha habido ningún cambio en el requisito de que todos usen máscaras en la escuela. Se anunció que el Estado abordará las máscaras en las escuelas el 28 de febrero, momento en el que se espera que se anuncie algún cambio en la política. Hasta entonces, seguiremos y haremos cumplir el requisito de que todos los estudiantes y el personal usen máscaras mientras se encuentren en cualquier espacio interior.
A partir del martes 22 de febrero, ya no exigimos que se usen máscaras afuera en los campus. Esta fue una decisión local, a diferencia de las máscaras en los salones de clase, y dada toda la información actual relacionada con Covid, estamos listos para eliminar esta práctica. Cada sitio escolar trabajará con los estudiantes para garantizar que las máscaras se sigan usando en el interior y permitir que los estudiantes elijan si quieren usarlas al aire libre.
