THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
Tomorrow, Wednesday, February 21st, is the first day of school for our Anderson students at either Tremont or Gretchen Higgins. We have worked very hard to get things ready for a successful transition, and feel good about being prepared for this big move. The full bell schedule is attached, but the most important reminder is that school starts at Gretchen Higgins at 8:05, and 8:25 at Tremont.

BUS TRANSPORTATION
We have been able to finalize the details to provide buses to families that indicated they needed transportation from Anderson to Tremont and/or Gretchen Higgins. Busing will start on Thursday, February 22nd. This will require families to arrange their own transportation for tomorrow, February 21st. We will be providing more information to the families who requested transportation tomorrow. For now, it is important to know that students must be at Anderson by 7:30 on Thursday to be able to ride the bus.
MULTI-PURPOSE ROOM OPENING TIMES
The Gretchen Higgins Multi-purpose room will open at 7:30. The Tremont Multi-purpose Room will open at 7:45. Staff will be present to provide supervision.
MEALS
Students will continue to be fed breakfast and lunch at no cost. Breakfast is available before school when the Multi-purpose rooms open, and during first recess. Lunch is served for all students at the time specified in the bell schedule.

There are so many staff members and other people who have worked to provide a smooth and positive transition. I want to thank all of them, and our students and families, who have adapted to our move. Attitudes are overwhelmingly positive, and I challenge everyone to keep them that way. Everyone – absolutely everyone – wants the best for our students, families, and staff. Let’s all keep good attitudes, work together, and have a successful rest of the year.

EL PRIMER DÍA DE ESCUELA
Mañana, miércoles 21 de febrero, es el primer día de clases para nuestros estudiantes de Anderson en Tremont o Gretchen Higgins. Hemos trabajado muy duro para preparar las cosas para una transición exitosa y nos sentimos bien de estar preparados para este gran paso. Se adjunta el horario completo, pero el recordatorio más importante es que las clases comienzan en Gretchen Higgins a las 8:05 y a las 8:25 en Tremont.

TRANSPORTE EN AUTOBÚS
Hemos podido finalizar los detalles para proporcionar autobuses a las familias que indicaron que necesitaban transporte de Anderson a Tremont y/o Gretchen Higgins. El transporte en autobús comenzará el jueves 22 de febrero. Esto requerirá que las familias organicen su propio transporte para mañana, 21 de febrero. Mañana estaremos brindando más información a las familias que solicitaron transporte. Por ahora, es importante saber que los estudiantes deben estar en Anderson antes de las 7:30 del jueves para poder viajar en el autobús.
HORARIOS DE LOS SALÓNES DE MULTIUSOS
El salón de usos múltiples Gretchen Higgins abrirá a las 7:30. El salón de usos múltiples de Tremont abrirá a las 7:45. El personal estará presente para brindar supervisión.
COMIDAS
Los estudiantes seguirán recibiendo desayuno y almuerzo sin costo alguno. El desayuno está disponible antes de clases cuando abren los salones de usos múltiples y durante el primer recreo. El almuerzo se sirve para todos los estudiantes a la hora especificada en el horario del timbre.

Hay muchísimos miembros del personal y otras personas que han trabajado para brindar una transición positiva y sin problemas. Quiero agradecer a todos ellos, y a nuestros alumnos y familias, que se han adaptado a nuestra mudanza. Las actitudes son abrumadoramente positivas y desafío a todos a mantenerlas así. Todos, absolutamente todos, queremos lo mejor para nuestros estudiantes, familias y personal. Mantengamos todos buenas actitudes, trabajemos juntos y tengamos un resto del año exitoso.
