School Accountability Report Card (SARC)
By February 1 of each year, every school in California is required by state law to publish a School Accountability Report Card (SARC).The SARC contains information about the condition and performance of each California public school. Under the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) all local educational agencies (LEAs) are required to prepare a Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), which describes how they intend to meet annual school-specific goals for all pupils, with specific activities to address state and local priorities. Additionally, data reported in an LCAP is to be consistent with data reported in the SARC.
For more information about SARC requirements, see the California Department of Education (CDE) SARC Web page at http://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/ac/sa/.
For more information about the LCFF or LCAP, see the CDE LCFF Web page at http://www.cde.ca.gov/fg/aa/lc/.
For additional information about the school, parents/guardians and community members should contact the school principal or the district office.
Tutoring At Dixon High School
We have so many options for academic support at DHS! Here are featured services!
The Learning Center on campus has free tutoring with trained tutors and even some teachers! Learning Center Schedule
DHS also has a list of senior AVID students interested in private tutoring. If your family is interested in hiring a qualified student tutor, please contact me directly at smarquez@dixonusd.org or by phone at 707-693-6330, ext. 7113 so we can talk about your needs and find a tutor that meets your needs.
Of course, the best resource for your student (or best place to start) is with your student’s classroom teachers. Please encourage your student to reach out to their teacher if they need help and/or advice. There is a page in student planners where they should record teacher office hours and availability.
Just for Seniors
Please take a look at our Counseling Website: DHS Counseling Web Site
If your senior (or parent) has ANY questions about their post-secondary plans, you are always welcome to reach out to our counselors. If your student’s last name begins with the letters A-La, your counselor is Maria Becerra at mbecerra@dixonusd.org. If your student’s last name begins with the letters Le-Z, your counselor is Ricardo Rodriguez at rrodriguez@dixonusd.org. Even if you want to just check in to see if everything is good to go, you are welcome to do so.
Every year, we give our seniors a little break between college apps in the fall and celebrations in the spring. In February/March, we really begin celebrating and saying goodbye to our seniors with our traditional events such as community scholarship night, distinguished scholars night, a senior parade, caps/gowns/signing the Ram, and last events of interest including athletic events, concerts, etc. It is a wonderful time of year!!!
