Weekly Update 3/17/23

Mar 20, 2023

Hello JKMS Community,

As many of you know, we have a current vacancy in our 7th and 8th-grade science classes.  Mrs. Stueve is an experienced science teacher who is highly qualified and more than ready to ensure that the academic needs of our students are met.  To ensure that our 7th and 8th-grade students have full access to a certified science teacher experienced in next-generation science standards, Mrs. Stueve will be teaching science for the remainder of the year.

Given that Mrs. Stueve will serve as a classroom teacher during the school day, there is a need to ensure that John Knight Middle School students also have access to an experienced assistant principal.

We are fortunate to have two highly qualified vice principals at Dixon High School, one of which has graciously agreed to assist.  With the support of our superintendent and the team over at Dixon High School, we are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to bring Mr. Bob Bugalgski over to serve as our new assistant principal, allowing Mrs. Stueve to take on the critical work of providing science instruction to our students.

Mr. Bugalski is a veteran educator with 30 years of secondary educational experience.  He has spent the last ten years as assistant principal at Dixon High School.  Mr. Bugalski will bring an understanding of what students need to know as they enter Dixon High School and help our students successfully transition to high school.   Mr. Bugalski looks forward to meeting the students and families of John Knight Middle School and supporting us as we complete a successful 2022-23 school year.  I’d like to thank both Mrs. Stueve and Mr. Bugalski for their willingness to help.

Sincerely,

Kamilah O’Connor

Principal, John Knight Middle School

Welcome, Mr. Bugalski!
