Weekly Updates 12/4/2022
It was a busy week at JKMS and I am happy to report that we are ended our week on a positive note. This week during lunch we held a world cup watch party in the small gym and will continue this next week as our students responded really well and were on their best behavior as they watched and cheered for their favorite teams. Our students are working hard on their grades and focusing on our school-wide expectation of being productive mavericks. With only ten school days left in the calendar year, we are stressing the importance of getting to class on time, showing up to class each day with a charged Chromebook, and being aware of our academic heartbeat, meaning we want our students to check aeries, to know their grades in each class and to know what assignments are missing. Please work with us to ensure that all JKMS Mavericks focus on academic productivity.

Parents the parent link to access aeries was updated.

Next Week at JKMS!

At John Knight Middle School we are Safe, Respectful, and Productive. December is Celebrate your own Heritage Month, as respectful Mavericks, we will acknowledge the way various cultures celebrate Holidays.

This week during math classes we will begin our second iReady assessment. The I-ready diagnostic assessment is critical in that we use the data to determine our students’ growth in ELA and Math during the first semester. Data from the assessment allows us to make informed decisions regarding the academic programmatic needs of our students. Please ensure that your child brings a charged Chromebook to school everyday next week.
