Leadership
Our first dance of the school year will be held on Friday, September 15th, 4:30pm to 7pm.  The dance theme and spirit days will be announced in the next few weeks.  Hint: The students will be wanting neon clothing! 😉
AVID: Organization (Binders and Planners)

All students have been provided with a binder and planner.  Students are expected to write in their planner each period during the day.  This is where students should have the homework written as well.

If a student has a binder that is showing wear, they are able to go to the ‘Binder Hospital’ at lunch.  Please have your students stop by the C Wing on Fridays (both lunches) to have repairs made to their binder.

Clean Campus

Students are expected to take care of their trash and clean up after themselves, especially at lunch. In order to motivate and encourage students to be respectful of their campus, staff will reward the class (grade) with the best performance in disposing of their trash with additional class spirit points.  Please encourage your student to be respectful and productive by taking care of their trash and campus!

Back to School Night

What a huge success!  Teachers were very excited to have met all the parents and guardians of JKMS.  Thank you for your participation and support! We encourage you to get involved by joining JKMS’ Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)School Site Council (SSC) and English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC). Dates for these meetings will be shared in the coming weeks.

Best,
