Support your local FFA chapter and Agriculture Education by upgrading your license plate! FFA students can earn 10 extra credit points and 10 FFA points for every plate sold! See an AG teacher or talk to an FFA member to see how you can support your local program!10-30
Dixon FFA is hosting a degree week November 4th-8th in honor of their Greenhand and Chapter degree recipients! Events will be happening each day:
Monday spirit day- Greenhands wear green and Chapter degrees wear blue and yellow
Tuesday- Game Day in the quad, there will be music playing, and emcees leading games!
Wednesday- FFA Jacket and Wear Blue Wednesday, wear your FFA shirt and FFA Jacket
Thursday- Tie Dye in the quad, bring your own shirt or buy one for 5 dollars and tye dye!
Friday- Good Scoop will be selling Ice Cream as a fundraiser for FFA in the quad, and there will be a movie night in the Ag Dept @ 6PM! Bring blankets and chairs, and bring a friend!10-30
CSF! Gather any clothing donations and come to our October cookie decorating meeting today during lunch in Room S-135! You can drop off clothing donations anytime during lunch! 10-30
If you are planning to try out for the Dance Team you must have athletic clearance before the day of auditions. Auditions are Monday November 4th and Thursday November 7th. Please stop by room C306 for information or clearance paperwork.10-30
Seniors- new scholarships have been added to the scholarship box. "Sixt Scholarship" deadline is November 30th, “Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship Program” deadline is November 5th, and “Bezos Scholars Program” deadline is January 31st. Stop by the counseling center to pick up a copy.10-30
Attention all students a Sacramento City representative will be visiting Thursday, November 7th during lunch. This is your chance to ask questions about community college, trade tech programs, how to transfer to a 4-year, and the application process. Signup in the Counseling Center by Wednesday, November 6th. 11-4
Are you interested in science? Or maybe health and wellness? Do you like competition? Do you want to be a member of a fun club here at DHS? If so, Academic Decathlon might be just for you! The Teen Center is going to have episodes of Friends playing all next week. All normal activities will still be available. If you have a TV series you would like shown come in and put in a request.10-30
Attention all 10th,11th, and 12th graders. The ASVAB exam will be taking place on Friday, November 8th at 8:30 am. This is a great career assessment tool that can help you identify which career areas best suit you by measuring your strengths and areas of improvement whether you choose to go to college, vocational school, or a military career. If you're interested in joining the military I highly suggest signing up. Make sure to signup in the Counseling Center by Thursday, November 7th.11-5
