Updated Mask Guidance
We began the week implementing the new guidance issued by the Governor making masks optional for students and staff while they are indoors. We have many people who are taking advantage of the relaxed policy, while we estimate that more than half are choosing to continue to wear their masks, including many who still wear them outdoors. The option has seemed to be a success for everyone, and we have not had any difficulties in adopting it at this point.
Testing Opportunities
Testing remains available every Monday and Thursday at Dixon High School between the hours of 2:00 and 3:30. Testing is at no cost and can be done as often as weekly. You must register through this link before testing: https://www.dixonusd.org/covid-19/

Employees of the Year!
We are very pleased to announce the Classified Employee of the Year, and the Teacher of the Year.
Arturo Hernandez is a custodian responsible for cleaning at three different sites in the District. He is recognized for his flexibility, willingness to go above and beyond his normal duties, and wonderfully positive attitude. He leaves his work areas much cleaner and a happier place for others there.
Samantha Camblin is an English and English Language Development teacher at Dixon High. She is gifted in her ability to make positive and productive connections with her students, provides high quality instruction to them, and contributes to the school in many areas outside her teaching responsibilities. Ms. Camblin embodies the best qualities of the teaching profession.
The Local Control Accountability Plan Survey
We have a committee currently working on an update of our Local Control Accountability Plan, or LCAP. The LCAP is the Master Plan for the activities and programs that we use to address teaching and learning, social emotional health and positive school cultures, and partnerships with our families and community. We seek input from the whole school community through a survey that is offered every year, and ask that everyone reading this take just a few minutes to complete the survey. The results are collected and analyzed, and become a valuable part of the planning process. You can find the survey by clicking on this link:

Employment Opportunities
The District has a wide variety of positions open for the current school year, as well as 2022-23. Guía de Máscara Actualizada
Comenzamos la semana implementando la nueva guía emitida por el Gobernador que hace que las máscaras sean opcionales para los estudiantes y el personal mientras están en el interior de nuestras escuelas. Tenemos muchas personas que se están aprovechando de la guía relajada, mientras que estimamos que más de la mitad elige seguir usando sus máscaras, incluidas muchos que todavía las usan al aire libre. La opción ha parecido un éxito para todos y no hemos tenido ninguna dificultad en adoptarla en este momento.
