Dear Dixon High School Families,<\/span>
\nWe are SO EXCITED to have \u201cregular\u201d weather?\u00a0 And, with Homecoming just around the corner, we are looking forward to a wonderful fall!<\/span><\/p>\n

Our grading period ends this Friday<\/b>
\nOur 6 week progress report period ends this Friday.\u00a0 It is important to remember that we are 1\/3rd of the way through our fall semester.\u00a0 Progress report cards will be mailed late next week.<\/span><\/p>\n

2022 Homecoming<\/b>
\nPlease join us for our Homecoming Football Game and festivities next Friday, September 23,\u00a0 in our stadium as our team brings home another win against Fairfield High School.\u00a0<\/span>
\nWe also have a Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 24 for DHS students from 8:00-11:00.\u00a0 I will be sending more information to students and families about the dance next week but don\u2019t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

School Pictures<\/b>
\nAll students can order school pictures by contacting Lifetouch at mylifetouch.com.\u00a0 Images can be previewed there and you can order with your student ID#.<\/span><\/p>\n

For senior portraits, students can go to <\/span>prestigeportraits.com<\/span><\/a> and enter their appointment code (sent to homes on a postcard or via email from Prestige Portraits ).\u00a0 If students don\u2019t know their appointment code, they can search by school on the same site.<\/span><\/p>\n

DHS PTO Update!<\/b>
\nAt the first PTO meeting they elected a PTO President (Lisa Altmiller) and Vice President (Heather Morales).\u00a0 Also, Janae Chadwick will be our Treasurer.\u00a0 This parent group will be working closely with student\/staff activities, programs on campus and in the community so stay tuned.\u00a0 Our first meeting is this evening, at 7:00pm, in the theater.<\/span><\/p>\n

ELAC Meeting<\/b>
\nOur first ELAC Meeting, for all parents of English Learner students is this evening at 6:00pm, in the counseling center.\u00a0 Please join us!<\/span><\/p>\n

\nAs noted in the superintendent\u2019s weekly update, DUSD is obligated to have all families complete the Income Verification Survey.\u00a0 I think it is very important to remember that this is necessary to keep all of the programs and services we have built for your students.\u00a0 If you\u2019ve already done this\u2026THANK YOU!\u00a0 If you haven\u2019t yet, please complete the survey at your earliest convenience.\u00a0 Our Parent Liaison, Mrs. Gonzalez is also making phone calls and sending email reminders to families.<\/span>

Student Tardies<\/b>
\nThis is an issue that we ALL need to address.\u00a0 As students get more comfortable with school, they are also starting to arrive late in the morning and during the school day.\u00a0 Please make sure they understand the importance of being on time (which really means \u201ckind of early\u201d).<\/span><\/p>\n
