Dear Dixon High School Families,<\/span>
\nWow!\u00a0 Spring has definitely sprung and our community is fully engaged in our journey toward the end of the year and graduation for the Class of 2023.\u00a0<\/span>
\nHere are some things to keep in mind to support your student and some events to get on those calendars:<\/span>
\n<\/b><\/p>\n

CAASPP Testing and i-Ready Update<\/b>
\nThose of us lucky enough to work with our community\u2019s students every day are always so excited to see our students shine!\u00a0 And, they didn\u2019t disappoint with assessments – an important measure of our journey toward our mission of graduating students that are adequately prepared for any and all post-secondary plans.\u00a0 Your kids showed up!!!!\u00a0 They were on time.\u00a0 They worked hard.\u00a0 They bonded with staff.\u00a0 They showed great character.\u00a0 And they really performed!\u00a0 Please remind them that I am so proud to be their principal!<\/span>

Important Attendance Reminder<\/b>
\nIf your student is returning from an absence, arriving to school late (excused or unexcused), or returning from an appointment, <\/span>please make sure they check in at the attendance desk in the office<\/b> so we can accurately note their attendance.\u00a0 If they don\u2019t do this, their absences will become truancies in Aeries and we don\u2019t want that to happen for them.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>

Important Information from Dixon Police Department Regarding E-Scooters<\/b>
\nOfficer Malone wants all students and families who use E-Scooters to be aware of the laws and regulations surrounding their use.\u00a0 If your student has access to an E-Scooter, please read this language from The City of Folsom as our city follows the same rules of the road:<\/span>

AP Testing<\/b>
\nOur students in AP classes will be sitting for those exams between May 1 and May 12.\u00a0 If you have a student taking any AP test, please read through this information from our counseling department:<\/span>AP Testing Info from DHS Counseling<\/span><\/a>

Prom is Coming Up<\/b>
\nThe 2023 Prom is coming up on Friday, May 5 at the Rancho Solano Country Club.\u00a0 This is a beautiful venue that is perfect for a fancy dance.\u00a0 Tickets will be sold all through the end of this week or until we sell out.\u00a0 Tickets cost $65 each.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>
