Our kids did a great job and it is always nice to see them all dressed up and enjoying an evening together.\u00a0 Huge thanks to our Leadership class and our PTO for helping get everything organized. Our next fancy dance is the junior prom which tends to be a bigger dance and will be held at the Rancho Solano Clubhouse on Saturday, May 6.\u00a0 Much more information to come!!<\/span><br \/>\n<b>Graduating Class of 2023!<\/b><br \/>\n<b>Senior Signs are Coming! <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">DUSD and DHS have the Senior Yard Signs in hand and our staff and PTO will be delivering these to homes on Saturday, March 4 as we kickoff our senior activities.\u00a0 You just can\u2019t hide, that RAM PRIDE!<\/span><br \/>\n<b>Scholarships for Seniors<\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There are many scholarships available for all kinds of graduates.\u00a0 Our counselors and I have been sending outside scholarship opportunity information to seniors as they trickle in.<\/span><b>\u00a0 Please encourage your senior to check their school email daily<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> as we progress through the year so they do not miss important information and opportunities.\u00a0 Also, students will have the opportunity to apply for local Community Scholarships beginning on March 6th.\u00a0 These local, generous gifts, will be celebrated at our Senior Awards Night on May 15th.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Here are some traditional senior celebrations and activities to be aware of.\u00a0 Remember, we look forward to this every year and can\u2019t wait to honor your students!<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Senior Yard Signs will be delivered to homes on Saturday, March 4\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In late February\/Early March, students will have the opportunity to apply for <\/span><b>Community Scholarships<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Our athletic teams continue to celebrate senior athletes at home contests.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Award Ceremonies and Senior Nights (beyond athletics) begin in May.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Paint the Town Green<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and other events will take place in May as well.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Graduation ceremony<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> for the Class of 2023 is on Saturday, June 3, at 9:00 am in the stadium.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Don\u2019t forget to complete your senior\u2019s FAFSA &#8211; a significantly \u201cunfun\u201d but very important task.\u00a0 Beginning this year, every senior in California must complete their FAFSA to earn a diploma so we really recommend you get this done soon.\u00a0 Please don\u2019t hesitate to reach out to our counselors for support if needed.\u00a0 To start, go to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/h\/apply-for-aid\/fafsa\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/h\/apply-for-aid\/fafsa<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Other Stuff\u2026<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>ELPAC Test:<\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This month of February we will begin the ELPAC exams. As you know, this is a state required test for students identified as English Learners. There are four domains on the exam. We will start with the speaking part and then the rest of the test will be taken in a group setting. counseling office is hosting College Wednesdays at lunch in the College and Career Center.\u00a0 All students are welcome to stop in and get their college and career questions answered.\u00a0 This is a great opportunity for our seniors to get help with finalizing applications, completing the FAFSA, making career decisions, etc.\u00a0 It is also a fantastic opportunity for our younger students who
