Dear Dixon High School Families,
We are officially kicking off our ultra-busy, super fun, spring at Dixon High School following an AMAZING PROM last weekend.  Here are some things to keep in mind as we move forward:
Grades
It is really important to check in with your student regarding their progress!  Final grades are only a few weeks away and your students need your support in staying focused and productive.  It is also important to continue communicating with teachers so if you have any questions at all, please reach out to your student’s teachers.

Here is the NEW link for students and parents to access Homelink (AERIES). It has also been updated on the district webpage.
Yearbook Update
If your student still wants to purchase a 2022 Dixon High School Yearbook, they can do so online throughout the school year!  Order by credit card or eCheck at www.yearbookordercenter.com  (Order# 7317) or by mail-in-check by calling 1-866-287-3096.  This info is also available on the Yearbook page of Dixon High School’s website.
Job Opportunities with DUSD
Dixon Unified School District has many jobs open, you can see what positions are available by going to www.Edjoin.org.  To fill a position in the classroom as an Aid or Paraprofessional, you must have completed the Paraprofessional Exam, or have 48 College Units completed.
We will be offering the Paraprofessional Exam to any parent who would like to become eligible to apply for an Aid or Paraprofessional. To schedule your exam, please reach out to Carina Martinez
Senior Check-In
We have really begun senior season at DHS!  Please check your email for senior information and do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.  Our next Senior event is Community Scholarship Night on Monday, May 16.  There is much more to come so stay tuned!
Town Hall Meeting
Please join us tomorrow evening and next Wednesday in our work to engage with the community in conversations about behaviors and bullying in our schools.  Tomorrow, we will be meeting at John Knight Middle School from 6:00-8:00.  We want to hear your voice and answer your questions!
May Fair
It feels like we haven’t had a May Fair in so long and we are super excited!  Our FFA students will be back and forth, between the fair and school as they show their animals and participate in activities.  Reminder: communicate your students’ attendance needs to the attendance secretary, Brenda Percival.  And, from  the admin team to your family, enjoy the fair this year!
AP Testing
AP students are participating in AP Testing this week and next week. This is hard work for them!  If your student is taking AP tests, encourage them to sleep, eat and hydrate well.  Also, remember the rules for AP testing, from the College Board, are very strict.  Students must arrive on time and follow the guidelines regarding food, drink, phones, etc.
