Apr 26, 2022

Dear Dixon High School Families,
Boy, we have been super busy, in the best possible way, at Dixon High School.  Our spring athletic teams are in full swing, our FFA students and staff are busy winning competitions and preparing for the fair season, our juniors and seniors did a great job with CAASPP testing, and we have just finished the 12-week reporting period.  Here are some things coming up:
PROM!
Our well-deserved fancy dance is this Friday, April 29, from 8:00-11:00 at the Rancho Solano Clubhouse, just this side of Fairfield.  We realize that many, if not most of our students have lots of questions about dances so please take a look at the document I sent to students and please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions.  Dixon High School Prom, April 29, 2022
One thing that has come up is the idea of transferring tickets from one student to another.  This is not something that students can do since we have a waitlist.  However, if your student is sure they do not want to attend, please encourage them to let me know and I can move someone into their slot from the waitlist.
Yearbook Update
If your student still wants to purchase a 2022 Dixon High School Yearbook, they can do so online throughout the school year!  Order by credit card or eCheck at www.yearbookordercenter.com  (Order# 7317) or by mail-in-check by calling 1-866-287-3096.  This info is also available on the Yearbook page of Dixon High School’s website.
Job Opportunities with DUSD
Dixon Unified School District has many jobs open, you can see what positions are available by going to www.Edjoin.org.  To fill a position in the classroom as an Aid or Paraprofessional, you must have completed the Paraprofessional Exam, or have 48 College Units completed.
We will be offering the Paraprofessional Exam to any parent who would like to become eligible to apply for an Aid or Paraprofessional. To schedule your exam, please reach out to Carina Martinez
Senior Check-In
We are super excited to be moving into the end of the year where we celebrate our seniors.  We have talked about graduation briefly but more details are being sent in a separate email to senior students and parents this afternoon.  I will be working with Distinguished Scholars early next week and our next senior activity will be our Community Scholarship Night on May 16.  Please see the calendar events below.
